    Default my aircon problem.

So i re-gassed my Air-con today its so cold, haven't used it in about 3 months.

Now the problem is with the AC on my car (vx ss) wants to accelerate up to 1500rpm, but only when moving. When in a stationary position the car idles fine with the AC on/off.

So coming up to say an intersection slowing down with foot on the brake, off the accelerator, the car wants to keep going put it in neutral (6 speed man) an the revs jump up to 1500rpm come to a complete stop an they sit there for abit then drop back to 800rpm.

This ONLY happens with the AC on when its off the car is fine. As i said haven't used the air-con for a while but this wasn't happening before i stopped using it.

Any ideas what might be going on???

    Cheers DLF

U may have a vac hose that has come of ur heater tap. It's under the bonnet near the fire wall if I remember correctly.

Cheers for the reply, I will check this out, but wouldn't a vac leak present itself regardless if the AC is on/off??? This is only happening when the AC is on.

Na if it's only happening wen it's on it could b a vac leak at heater tap. I think there is 2 hoses that r vac hoses on the tap which im pretty sure ony work wen a/c is on. Does it do it wen u got the heater goin?

There is a solenoid which makes the idle a bit higher wen u turn a/c on. Wen switched on all cars idle will drop but the solenoid will bring idle back up a bit. Mayb the solenoid is on it's way out. I'm not sure whr it is tho. On my VH it's on the inlet manifold/carby. I'd check the vac hoses on the heater tap first, if there ok and on firmly, it will b the solenoid.
