When ever i go for a drive when i stop i can hear a hissing noise coming from the engine somewhere but it slows down and stops a few minutes after i have turned the car off so i can never manage to find where its coming from. Its leaking water and only does it while the car is running or shortly after iv turned it off. Iv just replaced the water pump and thermostat so its definatly not coming from there. Where else could it be leaking from?
Cheers
The radiator cap?
Bleed valve not shut properly?
Silver Certified.
nope theyre all good. its somewhere down lower on the engine. im hoping its not a head gasket.
Cant you leave the car running and have a look around? Could be a small pin size hole in a radiator hose
maybe the inlet or outlet pipe? the rubber O ring might be worn.
is your car overheating? could be aircon if your cranking it?

90% sure its intake manifold gasket badly blown.
Could possibly be welsh plugs.
nah i rekcon its the manifold gasket. cos it seems to be coming from there.
i was wrong! turns out it was the heater pipe that runs through the tensioner assembly. Mechanic obviously didnt want to use a new o ring when replacing the idler tensioner assembly last week. lol
