I would suggest you check your owners manual as the recommended oil grade to use... but I believe the "Holden" recommended brand/grade is:-

    ENGINE LUBRICATION
2.1 ENGINE OIL VISCOSITY AND CLASSIFICATION RECOMMENDATIONS
For VX Series models fitted with V6 engines and LPG, engine oil to Holden Specification HN2314 must be used.
The specified oil classifications are as follows:
    BP Vanellus C3 15W/40 SH CG4
Mobil LPG Oil 15W/40 SH CG4

GEN III V8 engines, use Mobil Full Synthetic 10W/30 engine oil for general use and high ambient temperatures.

All of my cars use Castrol 10W/50, non synthetic, mineral oil every 5k/6Months + Filters religiously... In the end the type/brand of oil does not really matter too much, it's the number of Km's over how often you change the oil/filters. If you're lazy and/or have to pay someone to service your pride and joy... I would go for the best I could/can afford.
