Hi, i'm hoping someone a bit more techically minded than myself can help (sorry if this is a bit long winded)
Basically I have a bit of a project (VT 5.7 Auto Clubsport) with a dead motor and have decided to have a go at an engine transplant. I bought myself a nice manual VX SS and have since put the motor/box into the VT. Obviously ive retained the manual PCM and in an attempt to reduce trouble have used the matching VX BCM. The VX was running at time of removal.
Now it gets interesting. Everything is now in the VT and if your quick the car starts momentarily but then dies instantly, just a fire then dies. At the point of dying something beeps 5 times (This seems strange in itself but I am unable to find any relation to a specific fault). If you simply turn the key to ignition and wait for these 5 beeps (i'm thinking some form of system check) the car doesnt wont fire. To make things interesting, I have no idea whats physically beeping. I cannot find/think of anything that can emit a noise. The beeping is still previlant with the cluster unplugged, mode switch unplugged with everything unplugged, something is still beeping!
Short of putting a tech 2 in which will more than likely be my next step i'm just not sure. I'm hoping someone with some knowledge will be able to help and offer perhaps a simple explination. Thanks for any help.

its the hsv embedded security is not disabling thats what the 5 beeps are so you are using all the VT pcm and bcm and all u changed is the motor then it could get a bit expensive to fix or its just a matter of hooking tech 2 and relinking the pcm to bcm and if u are using vx pcm
Have a read of these to give u better idea of hsv security
