    Default Spring vs Screw clamps?

Hi, what is better spring vs screw clamps, I currently have spring clamps but I got some screw clamps for free with my hoses.

Also there is a tool to make removing the spring clamps easy but repco couldn't find it for me, anyone have some info on this too?

it would make removing the bottom hose easy.

Spring clamps are the work of the devil I say. Seriously removing the heater tap clamps with pliers are 8pm just to get home is a real bitch. Now it has screw clamps.

Yep, get rid of the spring clamps, they are CRAP!!!! Not only do they not tighten as well as screw clamps, but over time they seem to 'cut' into the hose, whereas screw clamps' pressure is distributed over a wider area, like 5-10mm, as opposed to 2mm of wire. And the best tool for removing them is multi grips, like said above. You definately don't need to buy a special tool!

I prefer screw clamps for the reasons stated in the above post^^^.
I find that when you remove a spring clamp and don't put it back on exactly the way it was before, you will often get a leak.

Interesting, I seriously thought everyone preferred spring type ones because they don't tighten too much and brake your plastic or whatever outlets. Good info I'll change them over to screw type. Thanks

I can see why the factory uses spring ones though. Much quicker.

With polygrips they're easy to get off. I don't plan to change mine

I can get them all of easy with needle noise pliers but the bottom one is a complete bitch, I hate it

If it wasnt for the one they would be way faster there screw one. but as someone said they do look like they can cut into the hose
