vt factory gas, lpg light not showing

hi I would be very much appreciative if anyone can help me on this, i've a 99 series 1 vt factory gas fitted, have put in new instrument cluster and when switching to gas the indicator light does not show,or come on,,,the fuel guage switches between gas and petrol to show alternative fuel levels, but light on dash does not illuminate,,have changed bulbs so is not a blown bulb,,,,programming done via bcm should not be an issue or what? has anyone had this issue with their dual fuel to be able to help,,cheers rappa....
