i just put depo led tail lights in my vt and everything exept the left reverse light work do i need a new harness there is a wire missing where i asume there should be one for the reverse light to work ??
Is there a plug on the factory loom for the reverse lights in the aftermarket tail lights? They will look pretty poor anyway, just put your stock lights back in and save the trouble.

there is a reverse wire on the drivers side but its not wired to the passenger side ive tryed jumping/extending the wire accross the reverse light fuse blew then i tryed a stronger fuse the lights just go dim
I had aftermarket monaro tailights put in my vt a few years ago, the panelbeaters had to run an extra wire from the loom on the right hand side over to the left to get them to work, i cant remember exactly where they joined the wire but it was put into the back of one of the wiring harness connectors and then ran over to the left side, i know its not hard to do you just need to work out which wire feeds the reversing lights.
yeah i had to do this, look at the left and right plugs and one will have an extra wire. splice a second wire from that on the right side and run it to the left.
then connect it up to the left, i stole a conector pin out of the vt garnish and put it in the left side as it diddnt have the pin
thats because each side tail light has its own reverse light wire you just need to simply extend the wire.

VT the reverse lights are in the boot lid itself. Just link the wire from the other tail light. Works fine, Iv''e done it to multiple VT's including my own to run VX exec lights, CV8Z lights and altezza's (yeah i change my mind alot lol) dont have to change any fuses etc if done right
