Hi I'm putting a new Radio unit in my commodore VT, stupidly I did not disconnect the battery and shorted it out I've checked the fuse under the steering wheel and it seemed to be fine, but I still can't seem to get any power out the plug. Any suggestions?
fuses under bonnet?
Where abouts under the bonnet?
I don't think that any of the fuses in the engine bay are related to the radio but for future reference the fuse panel is on the driver's side or the thing on the left side of the picture below, the thing with the K&N sticker on it.
Try replacing the radio fuse that you say seems ok because sometimes the look fine but they aren't.
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
What wire does not have power any more? Constant or ACC??
it is usually the 7.5A radio fuse that gets blown. But it also runs through another circuit.
check the fuse on the back of the headunit if it is aftermarket
If its Found On a Rubbish Dump its a FORD if it is Holden On its a Holden. Pick your poison.
cheers mate got it working didn't realize it had two fuses
