    Default VT Aerial

    Hey guys and gals,

I've noticed over they years my radio reception has got more and more craptastic. Now I don't mind the big aerial on the VT, but on the proviso that it picks up signal, which mine isn't doing lol.

Really keen to get it replaced, can anyone tell me from their experience what I best to replace it with. If there's any good aerials out there, my biggest issue is I live about 70km SW of Sydney CBD (as the crow flies) and I struggle to get Triple M & WSFM sometimes. My Dad's VE on the other hand with the tiny roof aerial gets 104.5 Star FM perfectly from up the central coast, I only get it if I park on the towns biggest hill.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Regards,
    Mike.

lol, well I just found out from Dad (this is his old car). That it was in fact replaced once already, so thinking there are better after market ones then genuine cause both aerials were genuine and they are breaking and lack decent signal, he said it was always a bit iffy.

No mate, I had the stock stereo in for more than a year. If anything the new aftermarket stereo is a bit better than the stock stereo.

The reception was no different after he got the aerial replaced about 6 years ago. Why do you ask?

well for example on my car, the aftermarket is worse and thats because its a calais and the factory uses a booster located in the car, which the aftermarket cant use
