Default VX SS Ex S.A Police car

I'm looking at buying a manual VX SS with is advertised as an ex S.A cop car.

I've noticed that it doesn't have a traction control button near the fog light switch though.
Can anyone tell me if this is a true ex cop car thing or has someone done a manual conversion on it because an auto traction control button is near the shifter. I also noticed it doesn't have the steering wheel controls either.

The cars an 2000 model so I also thought maybe it was a very early one and didn't have traction conrol.

Any help would be good thanks..

I doubt its a ex cop if its manual, or if so, then a conversion would have been done on it.
Can you check the vin plates to see what option codes etc are on it?

Well there u go. I think it's had conversion done then.
Wots the code for the trans? I think it had MM1..
When u turned the ignition on it said traction off.
It also had the button beside the steering column with the interior light with a line through it.
But I noticed it didn't have an incremental speedo..
I'm not sure if it had 9C1 on the tag or not now..

well, it was 1998, i was still a pup, driving to colonades and seen a vs cop car, 5 vt unmarked pigs and two purplish hyundai excel sprints with blue detachable dome lights racing down beach rd, melbourne police used them before the wrx was used, the hyundai with a suspension upgrade can out maneuver a comodore v8 through back streets and round a bouts

in nsw they have all manner of garbage for general duties cars... eg. lancers camrys i30s kias

if its just visiting victims at their homes after crimes and such why do you need anything more?

sure they have xr6s and ss-vs and fpvs for emergency response and tmu

Manual commodores, factory LPG Holdens(due to incompatibilty) and V8's,dont have a power and traction buttons/controls.The traction control system activated by the ECU when needed (Manual V6)..The car in question,"could be" converted ex. auto Police vehicle.Only manual vehicles they use r the transport and SWAT responce trucks.
