Bridgestone Turanza ER300 are excellent tyres, they are quiet, and grip fantastic in the dry and wet, and are also comfortable.

Best value wet and dry tyres I had were 235/35 r18 BF goodrich G force profilers at $200 each. Very sticky in all conditions and last ages. (had them on my old car for 18 months then used them to pass my newer cars rwc, drove on them for a while still and they are now in the shed for spares with over 70% tread).

Pirelli P6 are pretty top notch in the wet, about $105 for 205/65. However in the dry on open roads, I find they are too soft for me.

Pirelli Pzero Nero! When they were brand new I could floor my car in the wet and they would barely spin.

i found pirellis just wayyy too soft... good grip of course but just not long wearing

as always better to buy a brand name rather than a no name... even shit that Bog James reckons is 'as good as the expensive stuff'

Ive found Maxxis Victras to be great in the wet, 245s allow me to get power down in the wet with some throttle control.

Had Turanza ER300 on my VY S from new. Great tyre and lasted nearly 70K.

Replaced again recently with ER300's. They're now made in Japan, not Australia like originals were.
They're not bad, but don't seem as grippy around corners as the originals. Still not bad though.
The tread wear rating is slightly higher now too I think, that might have made the difference.
Hey, this set might last even longer!
