    Default lost my rear muffler!

    lost my rear muffler assembly last night so im looking to get a whole new exhaust I saw this on ebay

    NEW XFORCE TWIN 3" VT VX VY VZ COMMODORE CAT BACK SEDAN EXHAUST | eBay

    has anyone brought this system before is it any good?
    the manufacturer website says its for v8 5.7 litre is it still compatible with a 5 litre?

    I may be wrong but I think it suits ls1 cats that have the bendy pipe on each (see pic), I'm unsure of how the 5L cats are or if its the same setup. People will say bad stuff about Xforce but i don't have any experience with their product. They are a site sponsor so maybe going directly through them may be cheaper.

    It will bolt on, but it will be loud, drony, sound like shit and you will lose a lot of bottom end.

    what exhaust would you recommend for getting that "v8 sound" without breaking the bank?

    Depends on your definition of "breaking the bank".

    I do the Manta exhausts, twin 2 1/2" off the cats including stainless steel tips already attached. $690 shipped. Sounds very nice.

    go some sort of twin 2.5, 5L has great bottom and mid end, you want to enhance that part of the power band.
