So the clutch on my compressor is buggered, and its getting to damn warm for my fat arse, so I'm tossing up between a few options:
1. Buy new genuine compressor from DELPHI V5 SUIT COMMODORE V6 VT - VX - VY: Speedy Air Spares or Holmart (same price), get new TX Valve and Reciever/Drier, fit myself, and then get regas.
2. Get this guy to do it all while Im at work, Air Conditioning compressor WH VT VX VY Commodore V6 | eBay
3. Buy new aftermarket compressor..................profit?
Or if you have had dealing with someone in Brisbane, preferably northside, or you know of a internet company selling good, decently priced compressors, put it up.
I know there are other threads on the same topic here but most are a few years old, and stores can change thier quality in that time.

If it is definitely the clutch have you considered just replacing the clutch.
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
From what i read, Id go with option 2, Not much more for him to do the lot, Saves a lot of mucking around.
Thats if you end up having to go with a new compressor.
The auto-sparky said that my clutch was shorting (?) I believe, basically it was blowing the fuse all the time. Which also powers other items like the MAF, I mean seriously the MAF? Every time I turned the air-con on and it blew the fuse the car would run like shit from no MAF.
But how do you replace the clutch? My gregories basically says don't touch the air-con system, pretty unhelpful.
Also can you buy the clutch new or just get it off a second-hand system?

you dont have to on genuine you can get a aftermarket compressor from cooldrive and there really good you can get them fully assembly for about $490 and just fit it yourself save you lots of $$$ and then just get them to regas it
My local sparkie stripped and rebuilt mine, all bearings seals clutch etc, complete with regassing for $295. Have you looked into going down that road?
