WH Grange/Caprice Trim Question

Hey all

Just picked up a 99 WH Grange and have a couple of questions

1) Is the clock backlit i.e. at night?

2) is the rear storage compartment in the centre console meant to be woodgrain like the surround or just black plastic.

Can get some pics if I am being unclear.

Yes the clock is backlit, it does have a globe behind it. The storage compartment I'm not sure about as I have a Calais but mine does have a woodgrain door, I have seen the surround in woodgrain for that but it is rare and very pricey if your chasing one.

The storage compartment is black in my Caprice.

In most WH Grange's I've seen, the console ends were woodgrain finish. I think it's the only model that did, the rest were black or only had woodgrain doors (Calais, Senator etc.)
However, being a '99, yours is one of the early WH models, so it might have been an addition to the Series 2 or later model.

I remembered the prev owner gave me some bits and bingo, there is the door. And its black.

And I even found the original luggage stretchy cradle thing (where did my brain go) for the boot.
