as the heading says after 2 secs it cuts out but it does not show the immobilizer is on , key is relativly new and has allways work fine until now any ideas anyone car is stuck at work
Put key in ignition ...press lock on key fob..then unlock and then try..my car is doing same thing..and this works for me
check the contact on key reader (the little silver trim around ignition barrel VT had a early style one which made poor contact)
will try it tommorow amonst other things hope full it will work will let you know , as for contact it is as the red flashing light goes out
well tryed it all no improvments , called out lubemobile who said it was fuel pump , changed fuel filter and tryed it ,no improcvment dissconeted fuel filter and it was like letting a tyre down , so defo pressure in line [thinking pump ok , and it is humming ] one thing i did not say is i have to hot wire the car but use the key to dissable immobilizer have run it like this for about a year no problems , have been told the ignition must be turned as there is a magnet in barrel ???? belive this to be false but do belive it could be bmc related any ideas anyone , no error code ! all fuses ok
my vt ss had a problem like that, would start up and stall straight away, wasnt all the time tho, but all i did was turn the key to accessories for 5-10 seconds, then all the way off, than tried starting it again, hasnt stalled again since.
Try hopping in, lock your doors and unlock them. Start car. Or put key in and turn from off to acc back and forth about ten times and start. If one of these work it's your keyhead. If not it's in the bcm and expensive as you will need a tech 2
