Hey, sorry for the stupid question but i bought some Nulon petrol injector cleaner, on the back it says you use 100ml per 50 litres PRIOR to filling with petrol, does this mean i need to wait for my tank to get down quite low on fuel then squirt in 100 or 150 ml then fill the tank up with petrol, 100ml is for 50 litres so i guess i could just add 150ml then fill up the tank 70-75 litres?
Cheers
thats what the bottle said. i only had $20 worth of fuel in my car and i put a whole bottle in and my car still runs so it couldnt of hurt it much.. depends how much fuel u have in ur tank now. if its over about half way i would put it in but its up to u
i filled it up yesterday so yea, cant put it in yet
Wait until it gets to half a tank, add inj cleaner, then fill up.
'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'
I think on the back it says that over dose won't cause damage.
However,
Is that stuff harmful in any way??

It does say that over treatment won't cause damage, but if a bottle treats two tanks, then personally I treat three with one bottle. But I've been using the stuff since I bought the car with 47,000 k's on it.
I don't use it to unfoul dirty/blocked injectors, but to keep clean ones clean. And I only use it once in every 5,000 k.
Also, I only run premium fuel.
'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'
The only reason for putting it in PRIOR to filling is to allow the fuel going in the tank to flush the Nulon in with it.
There is absolutely no reason why you can not put the injector cleaner in when the tank is full.
I use the Valvolene equivalent, it's usually on special around Christmas so I buy 10 bottles at about $2 each, and like VYMAD, I use a bottle every 5000ks.
I think the reason they say to put it in prior to filling it just so it mixes up evenly with the fuel when filling up.
if it wont cause damage then i would assume a more concentrated mix will work better
Some info on injector cleaners, in regards to what is actually in them

long story short, if your wondering is what CAS number 64742-82-1 is, it's Kerosene, so just go and buy 1L of "Diggers" brand blue kerosene for $3.70.
If you also have a Diesel,

Which just happens to be 60% Kerosene & 40% Enamal Thinners, go an buy "Diggers" brand Mineral Turpentine its the same thing.
Save yourself some money, do some research, and come up with your own conclusions.
