Hey guys need some help.
I currently own a 2001 series II VX commo S Pack. I been looking at supercharging it but a little undecided atm.
What are your thoughts and I do live in Melbourne and what's a good place to get the supercharger installed through???
Thanks guys much appreciated

need more info how much power do you wanna make what do you want to use the car for ? do you want a factory supercharged motor or a aftermarket setup ?
Unless u have some sort of romantic attachment to your current ride, u might be better off selling and buying something with a factory super6. Otherwise drop a whole motor in. Can pick them up pretty cheap with gearboxes attached. Plus if u want work done y can have the motor molested before it's installed and ur relying on it.
If ur made of money and love the idea of a nervous breakdown, you can blow ur current motor but expect to hemorrhage $$$$$$$.
Good luck with ur decision.

it will cost just as much if not more to get all the bit and pieces together and put on ya ecotec than it will to buy a complete supercharged conversion.. plus ya will still have the weaker ecotec motor that wont last as long. and a bit limited to what ya can do to it boost wise..
factory s/c motor's around 2000-$3000, easy as to put in and will be stronger n handle more mods n boost safely..
youtubes good if ya want to see how they go..
thats my thoughts anyway![]()
Hey guys thanks for the comments.
I love my car but I'm looking to put in a s/c for more power honestly I don't wanna turn it into a show car still wanna use it for road use. Would an after market be a best option????
so you just want a little more poke for day to day stuff and not worried about going wild ?
If so look around for a factory blown 6 best bet is to go to a damaged vehicle auction because you will need a few more things than just the engine i got a VT S pack for $1600 2 months ago with a supercharged 6 do a few mods like 10 psi pulley rockers and zorst and that should see 220-230rwhp then if later down the track u decide you want more you can get a cooler for it and add more boost to get 270rwhp+ its a great motor and you wont get bothered by the cops as much using a factory blown motor.
Look here it doesnt say its supercharged but looking in the pics the writting under the indicator seems longer than ecotec could be supercharged v6 give them a call and they should be able to tell you.

plus you can make a few $$$$ back selling the stuff you dont need
Ooooo wild sounds good I'm out there for wild
Here guys here what my car looks like
G'day,
I recall a while back reading somewhere Supercharging an ecotec is a dead set PIA. Take that with a grain of salt though, I might be wrong.
You could sell it's for about 6-7ish and pick up a super 6 for 7-8ish which aside from the trauma involved with buying and selling a car would financially and time-wise probably be a better option.
