After a accident last weekend i have pushed the chassis on the drivers side back and can't shut the backdoor properly the rest of the car is fine i was wondering is it worth getting another body and transfering the parts from the smashed 1 to the new body or am i better off just stripping it and selling the parts
i doubt it is economically viable to do this on any commodore
does the car drive straight? if its not written off and its sound, just drive it
Scrap it there worthless these days.

Its still driveable so thrash the #### out of it and wreck it out and than scrap it imo.

if you know a friendly mechanic and they check out that the driveline is still straight, they'll pass it
its ####ed, not much you can do. there not really worth anything these days, drive it untill it runs out of rego and get another...
If you're not driving a manual, you are only steering, not driving
Doesn't chassis damage make you car unroadworthy? Be careful with your insurance.

The only proper way to tell if its straight is on a measuring system at a panel beaters, it can be straightened, I have seen cars much worse than this fixed, the car is bolted down and pulled straight with hyraulic rams. This has to be done correctly or it will be buggered.
But it depends if it is financially viable to do it

if your worried about the rego as long as you hand in the plates you will get money back from rta and insurance
well that would make it $316 dollars i get back lol so far only got offered $300 for the entire car from the wreckers think i am going to go with stripping and selling the parts indiviually seems like the best way to go and get more money back that way.
Thanks for all your help
a car-o-liner would fix this easy... bit poiintless though
if you really need a car i'd just get it checked and drive it
