Hi guys, was trying to remove my ignition switch yesterday with no luck.
Removed a small screw (T10 head, grub screw is it?) on the steering wheel side of the switch. I can see looking at the new switch which I want to replace it with, it has two holes. One of which this screw would go into. There is also another hole on the opposite side which leads me to assume that there is another screw on the dash side of the switch, but when I have a look on the other side, I can't seem to see any screw in this location. Am I missing something? Also do I need to have the barrel out first or can that stay in?
Thanks in advance.
Rob.
According to my manual you need to remove the barrel first. That is what I did when I changed my ignition switch without any problems.

Cool thanks.
Do you recall whether you had to take out any screws? If so, how many?
Sorry, it was a long time ago and I can't remember. I have to go out for a short while but when I return I will check my manual and get back to you.

Much appreciated.
Thanks.
After removing the barrel remove the retaining screw and tilt the switch sideways to disengage the roll pin on the switch from the lock cylinder body. Withdraw the switch from the lock cylinder body.
To install, make sure the ignition is switched to "ON", align the slot in the switch with the stepped end of the lock cylinder shaft. Engage the roll pin and install the ignition switch, tighten the retaining screw and connect the wiring connector. Reset the latch in the housing prior to installing the barrel.

You're a legend. I was trying to get it off with the barrel still in there
Job complete. Thanks again for your help!
