Unhappy Motor Swap VT LS1, Need help

    hey there

i have recently swapped over my ls1 as it developed a knock, and now it wont start, not even try kicking over =*[

i labelled everything, undid electrical connectors, pulled out the trans with the motor.

*note, the 2 plugs going into the trans gear selector were put in dodgily, held in by silicon therefore hard to get out

Put the trans on the new motor, 6 hours later motor was all back in, all the plugs that we know of are done up, those two plugs going into the trans gear selector are plugged in but not sure if in properly, all looks good.

I think that if its those two plugs that its not recognising its in park and not starting, but dont know for sure.
if anyone has a one of these selector attachments that bolt onto the trans laying about, will pay for it + postage

please help, any ideas or suggestions would be good, thankyou

The only thing I can think of is that skinny wire that goes to the starter motor, I forgot to plug that in on mine once and the ignition lights came on but it wouldn't turn over.

Including car parts (VS, VT, VX, VY, WH etc), my WH Statesman, and other things listed on eBay.

cheers for the reply, nah thats all hooked up.

also, one of my mates got a bit of wire and went straight from the battery to that skinny wire and it cranked over so i think that means it has to be something inbetween when you turn the key to the 12v or so going to the starter
