    Default Trouble Removing Spark Plug Leads LS1

    I have a VX SS and im doing a service and am having trouble remvoing the spark plug leads to change the plugs... Not only is there NO room what so ever near the back to get tools or hands in there to do it but for some reason i cant remove ANY of the plug leads... There the steal end version but i cant twist or pull of any of them... does anyone have any recommendations to get them off??

    They can be tight, I use a pair of multi grips to grip the metal case and then lever the side of the multi grips against the extractors.

    They're tight. Make sure you don't end up pulling the lead. They get brittle and break. Although the new ones I got made her run smoother. I think the full set of 8 was about $70

    I have used pliers to grip plug and long handle screwdriver to lever against pliers. Bit of effort but works ok

    Bank on damaging a few when pulling them off. They are on tight.

    Last time i changed my leads i broke two of the 8
