Were you cranking the shit outta it? Its possible the amp overheated and went into protection.

Multimeter will tell you what the problem is, Its either the main 12V from batt, Remote wire or Ground.
something may be loose somehwere, Battrey conection or Earth maby.

Don't need a multi meter, just get a circuit tester, basically it's a bit of wire with a light globe in it, attach to earth and touch live and it lights up, handy as shit I use mine all the time and costs $6

if you just bought it there is no way of telling the state of the wiring job ive bought a few cars and who ever did the wiring should be shot or have there hands removed its suprising the cars hadnt burnt to the ground in this case id say remote wire is a good chance but id get it looked at by someone in the know to make sure everything else is sweet

Also check the remote wire to the amp. I had 2 problems straight after I had my stereo system installed, 1 was the remote wire had a break it the wire, 2 was the earth was left loose.

i dont know its weird ive checked all the wiring seems ok...in saying that there is alot ov joins like 2-3 joins.....it (the amp) flicks on and off like going ova a bump or shuting the door....turn the car on and off and still doesnt work until i hit a bump or decides it wants to work..ive had the car for 8 days now and its bin fine up until now....checked where the earth was ground to and its earthed pretty well....so got me stuffed might try the circuit tester

It sounds like there is a loose wire if its turning off and on when you go over bumps something is loose. Might be the wire with all the joins in it replace that wire and see if that fixes it.

Is it possible where you have run the remote wire which i assume is under the side trims that it has been pinch as you've gone over a large bump? I'd also wonder if the fuses have prehaps become a little lose.. Sounds like a connectivity issue thats for sure..
