Hi peeps
My question is, the purge valve on the driver side on the back of the head (s1 ecotec) one outlet goes under the plenum to the inlet manifold. What about the other one?
Thanks in advance!
Thats the canister purge solenoid. The other hose will go to the charcoal canister which on your vt will be under the two fuel line connections on the firewall.
Cheers

Nah just me Bering a fool. On the purge valve, which outlet goes to which (throttle, canister)
Middle one to canister, the one close to the plenium to throttle body.
mate, thank you so much. seems i had the hoses the wrong way around. could this affect how the car runs? also, where did u get those diagrams from, they're excellent
Yes they would...HSV Factory manual.
will swap them around first thing in the morning and see how it goes. such a pain in the arse to get to though. and that stupid one that goes to the throttle body, nightmare. if only holden had made them an inch longer.
Yeah...Anythink else you need,while we'r at it?
hahaha the cash flow to get someone else to make this their headache?
2 quick little things. the earth point on the back of the passenger side head. the heads were painted when i got them back. should i sand it back to metal for the earth, or shouldnt it matter? and the intake manifold seals, the ones to the block. which way do they go on? i assume they go on like an upside down "U", with the cut out over the edges of the block, and the ribbed side to the inlet base. problem is, the seals were kind of skinny, and when put over the block, they stretched out, and didnt have a flush fit. is that normal? there are a few other questions posed in another thread about plug lead/coil pack order just for process of elimination, and a plug wet with unburnt fuel. so all in all, the list of known problems or queries is getting smaller, so it has to be one of those.
Yes sand it for a better earth conn,
