Just wondering are the rear quarters on a vx are detachable ??

Yes and no, they don't just unbolt and come off, they are held on with spot welds and body adhesive. If you have to ask, then I wouldn't be doing it yourself.

Definitely repairable by a decent panel shop.

That's what he meant I think. A decent panel shop can repair it by replacing the quarter panel.
Yes that's definitely a panel shop job.
Best be getting that insurance mob on the blower.
Yeahh just wanted to get it quotes first just to see if it worth it
