Hey, this may seem like a stupid question but do the series 1 vt have the fuel filter near the right rear wheel? I am talking about a november 97 built vt.

Yes, easier to replace it if you have to by jacking the car up and removing the wheel. No need to lay down under the car and get covered in petrol.
