    Default Radiator Fluid Spewing Out

    Hi guys,
I am new to forum and have quick question if anyone would be nice enough to answer for me.
I have just picked my VT 2000 commodore up from holden because car was showing error message, they said needed new BCM.Ok paid the $900
Left holden drove for 15 mins, came out of supermarket and green radiator fluid all over carpark spot.Leaving car park bloke pulls me up to say leaking from front end.Car not showing overheating, showing half way.Got home after 5 mins no more fluid leaking. When i put car into holden was not spewing radiater fluid so wondering if this could be overflow, seemed like hell of alot of green fluid coming out.
I am female and no nothing about cars so please excuse if there is an easy answer. -_-
    Thanks

Did they (Holden) do a service as well?

Might have been overfilled but from the amount your describing you may want to wait until the engine is no longer hot and take off the radiator cap to check there is still some coolant. Wait until the car has cooled off a bit and then put a rag on over the cap as you turn it as it will probably still have some pressure under it and may be hot.

Look at all the pipes coming from the radiator for signs of leaks.

hmm sounds like overflow, because there were no signs of over heating. your best bet would be to go to your local mechanic and just ask them to do a pressure test on your system and that will tell you if you have leaks anywhere. ie: a split radiator.

but check your coolant levels and if they are full and fine it might just be overflow, but if your loosing coolant then you have a leak.

    hope this can help.

thanx heaps guys,i have taken cap off and needed coolant but after like a minute it all started bubbling back out,so i think i'll have to find a decent/honest mechanic to do a test.

Check the coolant level in the reserve tank (to the right of the radiator with a yellow cap) if that has been over-filled it will leak coolant when hot. Also try a new radiator cap.

If they did there is always the chance they just over filled it.

I have a mate who works at a dealer / service centre. He has told me some shocking stories of the things they mess up.
