    Default car souns 'Airy'

Ok, so Airy isnt a word but thats the best way to describe the sound.
When im accelerating, whether it be hard or soft the motor has a sound
to it that i havent heard before, sort of like alot of air is running through something.
The only changes ive made recently were filling my radiator with water when
my car nearly overheated, i normally have coolant in it, and for the past 3 weeks ive
been running BP Ultimate instead of Shell V-Power.
Why im here, what is the best coolant people recommend and what premium
petrol do you guys recommend, i always used V but was told recently that its not that
good and should use BP or Caltex stuff instead.

As far as coolant goes, any coolant that meets the specifications for the Holden V6 engine should be fine.

Nulon long life (green) is the best stuff.

Must be the BP ultimate giving an extra 50rwkw. HEKTIIKKK!!

Nah seriously. Check for any hoses that might be disconnected (not just rad hoses).
Might want to try opening the bleed screws on the cooling system in case there is some air trapped.
Change that coolant asap I'd say.
Is your engine an ecotec or supercharged v6?

My VS has never missed a beat since changing to BP Ultimate, though as with anything you pay for quality. I fill up at rough price of $60-70 for 40-45ltrs, thats at wellington point on a monday night. Well thats my two cents, good luck with your other problem!

If your buying the coolant yourself, buy it direct from Holden, it's not as expensive as you would think. If your taking it to a radiator workshop, they will know what to use.

Absolutely. I use BP ult. as well. Have to with supercharged 6 when you've got more than stock boost

Check your vacuum hoses for any air leaks, this will probably be the sound you are referring to. It will be like a light whistle noise.
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!

If it's a big sucking noise check the vacuum hose just under the throttle body
