Default Quick question about vt auto headlights/warning sound...

Hey all.... Just wondering if my vt executives headlights are supposed to automaticly turn off or not. The head lights stay on after the car has been turned off and the drivers door opened. Because they dont and if its not fitted with that then the warning sound dont work either. Some times I forget to turn them off... Please help haha

all commodores from vr up had auto head light off when drivers door was opened the most common thing to go wrong is the drivers door switch sticking and rust build up on the screw that holds it in does your interior light come on when u open the drivers door

Up behind the dash on the driver's side, sort of behind and above the fuse panel.

Is it as simple as disconnecting battery then unplugging the bcm or more to it?

Just went and checked it out... The lights still stay on and no bells or whistles to tell me that but the interior light turns on/off when prompted... I can hear a clicking behind the fuses when the interior light comes on/off..... Dont have a clue whats going on... Previous owner said it was just a relay but I cant see one marked as auto lights. Am I looking for the wrong thing?

There are no warnings for leaving the lights on.

If u say u found paper work to say it is a ex police car then chances are the bcm has been programmed to have this feature removed or the wiring has been modified can't remember which one it was know any one with tech 2 they would be able to help you the v6 commodore didn't come with the bt1 option they were a 9c1 from vt up
