Default glovebox closes uneven so light stays on when car is off

Hey a couple weeks ago my glovebox came real loose on the right side of it but it fixed itself somewhat, its not as loose now but it closes uneven. meaning the right side kind of drops a little which sometimes causes the glovebox light to stay on, cant be too good if thats left on overnight, dont know if it would use much of the battery? so anyway how do i fix this please?

Whenever I have issues like that I pull the globes out. This was after a couple of flat batteries lol.
I havent checked mine, I just put a new glove box door on and there's no globe in there I suspect for the same reason(only had the car a few months). But you can buy the bits behind it that the door sits on from ebay too.

There should be a large black plastic pin in the bottom right hand corner inside the gloves box, it sometimes comes out causing the problem you have.

There are plastic clips at the back of the glove box that clip onto a rail. in some, there is a guide slide rail with a pin that secures one side.

Pull the glove box right out and have a look at what is there. The rubber bits provide a small amount of support to stop the box from dropping to the next point that would stop it. They don't really aid in holding it closed.

Just for future reference, I removed my glovebox about 2-3 months ago and put it in my boot cause it was rattling and annoying me, the light now stays on 24/7 and i havent got a flat battery yet so i assume the light doesnt drain much power.

Leave it long enough and it will eventually flatten the battery. You could remove the globe, or better still, fix the glove box.
