hey guys im new to this forum and im new to these v8's.
my previous cars have been lexcus sc400, bmw e46 iv had nice cars that look good.
im looking at this VX ss from great wall in victoria park they want $14,000 its manual red, sunroof. 130,000 on the clock,
i dont know enough about them to make an informed decision so if anybody recognises this car and wants to let me know not to buy it because there boyfriends friends cousin just thrashed the a$$ hole out of it, just let me know
so a few starter questions, how much nos is safe? and how much will i need to spend to get it at about 300kw+
thanks guys have a good day
How much Nos is safe? It's illegal, so obviously the answer is none.
you do not need NOS to get 300rwkw. Check out the LSX forums for the LS1 Guide to power sticky thread. You don't even need forced induction. It will still cost you a few grand.
The kms and price for this particular SS seems about right for a dealership. A test drive should reveal any issues like wheel bearing noise/vibration, suspension condition, wheel alignment (could be a bigger problem with suspension) brake condition, steering system condition (noises and clunks) and clutch/gearbox operation. These can be expensive to fix if you're not willing to get into it yourself and spend some time hunting down cheap parts.
If the clutch is light and smooth all the way down and up then it's most likely the standard clutch and may need replacement soon. If it feels springier and gives you a bit more of a workout then it's an after-market clutch that has probably recently been replaced. The price to replace the clutch and master cylinder (stupid not to get it done at the same time) is usually around $2,000 including parts for something more street than race. Not an easy job to do yourself and always better to get an experienced professional.
The engine itself is going to be hard to tell what condition it's in, but the good thing is they are pretty difficult to kill. Honestly, even if the last owner trashed it to hell and back the engine should be okay. The only indicator for condition would be engine noise when at normal operating temperature. Even then a service might be all it needs.
I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere
ok i did drive it and felt nice no weird noises, brenton from extreme clutches looks after a friend of mine so i should get a nice deal there. (http://www.xtremeclutch.com.au/)
excellent product btw
the idea was to throw nos through her and hide it somewhere nice, keep it looking like a stock standard car for no police attention. just use NOS when you need too. reason being keep costs down for performance and not always stressing the motor for a daily drive. so that was my logic behind that. feel free to correct me

When would you ever 'need' Nos?
I think you've been watching the fast and furious to much :P
Haha I have never heard of anyone putting nos in their daily car. Theres plenty of other engine mods you can do so theres no need for nos.
