Default Wiring neons in VT Executive Series 2

I was looking to have the lights come on with my ignition...like the radio.

I'm installing a 2 DIN head deck soon, I was thinking of running off the ignition wire for the radio, would there be anything stopping me doing that?.

or is there a better ignition point to wire from?

they are illegal to have on while driving, as they create a distraction to the driver. so if you wire it up to the ignition for when your lights are on its illegal.

alot of people wire them into there headunits, and run them off a switch to flick them on and off as they please.

    Thanks for the reply.

I forgot to add that they have a switch and in-series fuse.

Which wire would I be using under the VT column if I was to use the head-deck option?

but why do you want flashing colored lights in your car anyway? wouldnt it make it feel like your sitting in a gay bar? only theres no one to make you a appletini?

i must be getting old i guess.

well you dont want to wire it into any speakers so you dont want to tap into them.

you could go with, battery or accessory, because both will crank on when your head unit is switched on.

but mate as stated its illegal to drive with them on, so you need to make sure the neons you buy have a switch for on and off.
