I've found a vx clubsport bodykit that I want to paint myself and put on my vt berlina.
I know I'll have to change the head lights but is there anything else I would have to do/change?
Also is there anything I should be asking this bloke about the bodykit prior to buying it?
Just stuff you guys may have found out when buying second hand bodykits..
Cheers
i think you will need to change the bonnet mate because the vx clubby lights are quite square and the vt ones are rounded.
but i could be wrong.
edit: also id ask if the kit has ever been damaged and had to be repaired with fibreglass if you are buying genuine.

I would personally stay away from secondhand body kits if they're fiberglass especially if they have been fitted before. Fiberglass kits need to be fitted and you can be guaranteed that they wont line up to your car and will need more work, you would be better off starting with a new kit and fitting it to your car. It's a different story if it's genuine and plastic, then there shouldn't be any problems.
and that way if u hit something on ur front bumper instead of a big rip threw it u can just pop it out at the end of the day they are easy, cheaper and saves money
Ah yup. For this kit he's asking $200 so I'm guessing it's not genuine. I'm checking it out tomorrow so we'll see what condition it's in![]()
Thats a pretty good price id it's for front and rear bumper + the side skirts.
I thought they were more expensive than that.

even for fibre glass they run into the 600-700$ zone.

Yup she's a fibre glass kit. It does have a few small issues but I'll be able to fix them all myself. And in the end I got the front bar, sides and rear bar all for $150, so I'm pretty stoaked!
I bought some genuine vx clubsport rims a few months back too so my vt should be pretty schmick soon!!
you dont need a bonnet, thats the wrong information.
only need to change the headlights and put your kit on.
i stand corrected.

All good mate. Thik kit uses the tear drop vx headlights instead of the vx calais/hsv square head lights anyway
then its a fibre glass reproduction
