I suppose this thread goes here?
Im looking at purchasing a 02 V2 Monaro. I am yet to test drive it (currently drive a VXII S n/a)
I called the bloke for information on the car. He described many features of it pationately to me.
He described the steering as "lazy" compared to the VT SS. then mentioned something about rack and pin, in hk monaros... went over my head...
I was hoping someone could shed some light on this? What does he mean by "lazy"?
Cheers,
Kyle
Rack and Pinion...Warnout?...as in may need a new one....by 'lazy' he probably mean's its a bit harder to turn than his SS
Or simply just doesent turn as good as the SS.
SS = 2.8 turn's Lock to Lock
Monaro = 3.0 Turn's Lock to Lock
Aparently the monaro's had crappy steeering comapred to other commodore's..As is harder to turn.
Dunno. I have had a VY SV8 and now a 2003 CV8 and I hadn’t noticed any problem with the Monaro in comparison. In fact I took it through the hills a few week back and had a ball. Odd about the different ratios.
