    Default Central Locking Problems. BCM?

    I have a VX S-pac and have found that my central locking doesn't work. I have found when I disconnect my Battery and then reconnect, it will work for a short period, then stop working again. Even when the doors are manually unlocked, only that particullar lock will open, instead of all doors. I am told that this could be BCM related. When I changed the BCM however (with the same model eg. MID 313) , the car would not start. This car is a manual, does the BCM need to come from a manual car?

    doesn't all this stuff need to be programmed with a tech2? you can't just put random BCMs from wrecks and expect them to work

    the BCM needs to be linked to your ECU or it will not start.

    holden do it with Tech2

    you have to remember your keyhead which controls the immobiliser sends its signal to the ECU on its own frequency.

    when you change your BCM, your keyhead can longer longer its signal to your BCM and the BCM cannot communicate with the ECU to start the motor.
    you need the keyhead from the BCM that you have just put in or you will have to do the following.

    - get a new keyhead programmed to the new ECU you have put in
    - have your newly installed BCM linked to your ECU

    if you have the keyhead from the new BCM, you only need to link the BCM to the ECU
