Hi all!! I have a VT commodore and it ran really well until I changed the radiator. I neglected to put the oil hoses onto the radiator and prceeded to back the car out. I noticed oil pooring out the front and immediately turned the car off. A huge gush of oil came out of the hose. I have been told these were the auto transmission hoses. Now when I attempt to drive the car, it wont go into gear. If you rev the car it will move slightly, but not enough to drive it. The hoses are securely on to the radiator now. Is there anything I can do to possibly rectify this? The car was only run for about 30 seconds with the hoses off so I really hope I have not done too much damage.
Did you put more fluid in the transmission to replace what you lost out of the hose?
Hi Hangman. Yes I did, however I used some old fluid I had lying around. Could it be as simple as draining that out and putting new fluid in?
