VU issue

Hi guys got a problem with my ute and not sure what it could be it started after the radiator hose split and the car got a little hot (once the warning light came on I pulled over) so i fix the hose filled the radiator back up but now the car is surging and occasionally backfiring and idea what it could be

not sure about the backfiring, but you could have air in your cooling system
