Default Warning Light Commodore VT V6

Hi when driving on freeways or especially when the car gets over 80km/h this warning light comes on the dash, all temps are normal and the car doesn't loose any power. This has only started coming on after the head gasket was replaced. Any ideas to what this warning is, as its very alarming to be travelling at 100km/h and have this come on.

Yeah thats the management light. You need to check what codes have been logged in the system.

    Checking error codes VT/VX

maybe just have a look under the bonnet and make sure all the sensors are plugged in and check the oil and coolant.

Thanks superchargedvs6, didn't work at first but worked it out. Turns out if was 63 (LH oxygen sensor (no signal)) so I disconnected the battery looked and checked the fuses mainly engine sensor. Put back in as its fine reconnected the battery, followed the same process and low and behold only got 12 (Satisfactory operation)

    see how that goes.

    Cheers guys

Oh ok good to hear that worked out If it happens again, then check that the oxygen sensor is plugged in properly. If it is then you might need to replace it. Its up to you but if it was my car I would replace both. Depends how much money you have to spend.

Yeah thats what I'm going too do is replace them both. Good to know that when I'm on a freeway and if it comes on again I know exactly what it is.

Best part is a simple .pdf and paper clip can diagnose the issue

Haha yeah I know, easier and it doesn't cost you anything. And yeah at least you know what the problem is now so you wont have to worry about while driving.
