Hey guys just a quick one, I copped an epa on friday night, I have tri y extractors 200 cell high flows twin 2 1/2 inch without rear muffler, also cammed, what's your thoughts on passing the test , would a stock cat back do the job etc,?
Cheera in advance

keep it real, and keep it clean.
Unless you have a MAF then there is no chance of passing. Fair to high chance you will need to put the cam back to standard too. Extractors/functioning high flow cats and a stock exhaust will probably be ok if it is no more than the standard loudness.

111db was the read out?

Lol needs to sound like an 8, I was actaully stupid enough to drive out onto the hwy on Friday night lol, unfortunately they pulled me over doing 25km/h past the lol. Took me to an epa station setup, and murder she wrote, Ah well live n learn I suppose

i got done on my vu ss
to get it sounding legal (90db max) i had to get a full stock exhaust system from cat backs
i passed at 89db coz i got extractors and high flow cats it just made it.
i had to rev it to 4500 and the loudest point was the deceleration.
good luck mate, its such a hassle

With my old old torana 202 I had to go for like 4 retests had to remove extractors, change dizzy(scorcher race ignition), manifold and carby (redline intake with 350 holley, had to put single barrel stromberg) (man they're F%^king tightarses), anyhow the last test I took the missus and kids with me and the guy passed it but pointed out I still needed to clean some pollution valve lol. All because I worked a saturday and drove home and got picked up and told to "follow to the testing station" which when I arrived was all full of P plate commodores lol.
