Default Right brake light doesnt work but works with headlights?

Hey, noticed in a reflection today that the right brake light on the boot garnish of my berlina is not lighting up when i brake but when i just have the headlights on (no brakes) i can see that the globe lights up, i took it out and seen that the globe is lighting up, so what causes this to happen? thanks

The globe is a twin filament type, one for brake, one for tail light. The brake filament is probably broken, hence why it doesn't work. Get a new globe.

You could try swapping the left for the right to confirm the globe has blown.

could be the bayonet holder shit itself, with lights off at night, when i brake the dash lit up when mine did this, get a left side from a wreckers, they are usually in better condition, the drivers side is prone to failure
