Hi guys
I have a major power steering fluid leak (used 2 litres of fluid in 2 days). I've degreased the area and it seems the leak is coming from where the hose joins the power steering pump. I dunno if it's a loose clamp, if the hose is split or if the leak is actually from the pump.
Hubby threw a tantrum and told me not to touch it till I have a replacement hose, so I went to supercheap today but have no idea what I need. Does it have a part number or something?
thanks![]()
There will be two lines going to the pump, one with a clamp, one with a nut. The one with the nut is the pressure line, the one with the clamp is the return line. Chances are it is leaking at the clamp, most of them do. Tighten the clamp first to see if that fixes it.
Normally leak from the low pressure hose. You dont need a new one, take the hose out, chop about 10-15mm,then re-install it with new clamp.
