Default High flow cats for l67?

Hey guys, my vt l67 has a shagged cat converter on the drivers side, had the car for around 6 months and it has been annoying the eff out of me since I bought it. Upgraded to a pacemaker duel 2.25" cat back in hope it was the standard exhaust but found it is a cat. Exhaust would sound great if it wasn't all tinny sounding. and time has come to fix it. what's a decent brand of high flow cats to upgrade to? eBay has a few but searching around I can pick some of the brands up wholesale pretty cheap. could you throw me some decent brands to search for that will compliment my car and be reliable. will go a set of pacemaker headers down the track so will have to go with them when I decide it's time. ( after some more mods) just want the tinny sound gone! Cheers

If it were me I'd just get some v8 cats from a wreckers and widen to suit the catback/headers.
If your planning to slap a cooler on the charger and go for more boost then aftermarket would be the go.

Lol yeah cause the V8 ones are soo different. There's a few different exhaust companies now sponsoring the site which I am sure would be happy to help you.

It's cuz they tend to have less k's due to v8 owners ditching them and writing them off so fast :P

My stock cats are the same as the ls1 cat, going to cam first then cool. Should be fun by this time next year will have to open the exhaust up sooner or later so while I have a problem, may as well throw something better in.

Heard many a L67, even some na v6's, with high flow metal cats and IMO they make them sound awefully tinny high up in the rpm. Sometimes this may be due to the cats and the quality of the catback system though.

My track car has a pair of 100 cell metal cats and side pipes and it sounds like arse high up in the rpm, worse when it had no cats... but i dont care though cause i just want it to go fast lol

Therefore i would suggest the use of opened out ceramic stockies, that are in good condition obviously.
Hit me up with some reputation points if i've helped you out! (Star in the bottom left!) Cheers!

Was looking at the magnaflow cats, but wasn't to sure if they were any good as they are on eBay. www.jegs.com does them between $80/$100 a piece plus postage imported from America. When the Aussie dollar is up would be cheaper again. what is the best brand performance and reliability wise I can get for a supercharged v6 that will sound good now and still sound good when I say cam and cool in the near future?

The ones on the Jegs site are ceramic. I do the metallic cats 91000 series. By the time you pay freight from the US, it will work out a few dollars cheaper but you would only be getting the ceramic ones, I do ceramic ones for $85 each.
