Vt berlina tranmision????

I have a vt berlina series 2 ls1.... Recently ive been havin issues in the morning when its cold, with the engine light coming up and gear box slamming into gears... Ive had a transmission service done as well and no problems?? Im only new to cars really and still learning. Is this a throttle sensor issue or..???

AND ALSO WHEN I FINISH WORK OR GET IN IT LATER IN THE DAY ITS FINE AND THERE IS NO ISSUE???

Have you checked the registered code? if the engine light comes on it is registering fault codes. Do you know how to check them?

Its an LS1. He will need a scanner tool or tech2 to check

yea mate ive had it at a auto trans place and they reset the codes but about 3 days later it happened again....so yeah thats where im stuck at the moment...

Slamming into gears, particularly on the 1 -> 2 change is characteristic of a TPS issue. Having said that, if its an intermittent issue it may not log a fault code. Does the engine light stay on until you turn the engine off or does it go off by itself?

Hey mate sorry for the late replies the. Sometimes the light goes off and sometimes it stays on till I turn the engine off. I've asked numerous mechanics to have a look at it but say its fine. I hope it's a tps fault!!
