I own a wh caprice and also a honda crv. Well sorry for posting in wrong section but need advise. I went on a 2000 mile trip on the crv and on the way back the engine seized. I checked the oil and it was completely dry. Should I repair it, get a new engine, or junkyard the car. It is old and has other problems too such as oil leaks, no power steering, suspension bushings gone. The only reason I was keeping it was the engine and transmission were really good. What should I do.
you need to work out how much a new engine is and if you really love the car enough to repair it, versus the cost of another car (if you need a 2nd car). Sorry to hear it blew up we can become very attached to cars we have had for a long time despite all the problems they have.

I would scrap it theres lots of people in the news paper who give around $350. They just crush it.
Dont get it repaired, obviously you dont know how to look after a car.You went on a 3.2K trip and not once you attempt to check anything.Just a bike should do you from now on.
