Default Climate Control Floor Vents Problem

VX Calais, got most of my aircon issues sorted but like to hit this one on the head if anyone knows:

Vent selection is working after replacing solenoid actuators thanks to another thread.

However, the passengers side vent is always open. When a non-floor vent is selected its spewing out warm outside air. The drivers side is closed.

When the foot vent is selected, both push out cool air.

I have found the solenoid that opens/shuts the feet vents under the drivers side, and its working as expected. Is there only one solenoid for the feet vent doors each side? Or are the two vents joined and opened by this one solenoid? Can't really work it out.

    Hope someone can help

Has it got dual zone climate control? If it does, i'm pretty sure they have a solenoid on each side, because you can have them at different temps. If it hasn't got dual zone then i'm not sure.

It's a Calais so it does have dual zone. Check the passenger side solenoid.
