Hello everyone,
So yesterday I went up someones backside cause this guy wasn't watching ahead and didn't realize the traffic had stopped so he slammed on his brakes and so did the next few cars. The car in front of me hit the car in front of them and then I hit that car. And the guy who caused this really, was unscratched and drove off like he didn't just create a 3 car pile up.
But enough about that. Now to fix it. I need a new club sport front bumper and I don't really know the best options. The old one was a fiberglass one that came with the car when I bought it. I looked on ebay and they're all in QL and I am super poor and don't want to pay the $90 shipping to VIC.
Not really sure where else to look, I'm not a massive rev head, I just love commodores. Anybody else got any ideas?
Thanks![]()
for genuine plastic you better be ready to spend money, but many wreckers wont keep fibreglass stuff at the yard.
but i picked up a VT clubby front bar genuine for 400$ posted to my door, off ebay i thought i did pretty well.

Yea I just went to Holden Parts and service and they said $1700 for a genuine plastic one. Shiiiit lol. The ones on eBay seem really cheap now. Looks like I'm shipping it down from QL then haha.
I got the one from QLD. My car came with the aftermarket one when I bought the car too and was trashed as. I will eventually ditch the body kit, but it will do until I decide what colour and look I want the car to have down the track.
The bumper I got was a bit awkward to fit and doesnt seem to fit right up tot he ends of the front guards flush. That will be something you have to think of when you get it. It will need a good sand and the fitting holes drilled in it when you get it and be aware they dont make them with very much room to drill the holes on the top . I consider it a (expensive one at that) tide over bumper to be honest.
i have a full genuine VT senator bodykit, howver i have sold the front bar..
rear bar and 2 genuine side skirts your looking at $800
So ended up having to do this through insurance cause the car in front of me called insurance for their car and mentioned me so my premium would've gone up anyway. Does anybody know what they'll do about replacing my bumper? It's an Executive so will they just replace it with an executive bumper even though it had a club sport one on it and I told them? Is there any way I can get them to put one of these fiberglass ones on?

I ended up buying mine because the assessors wouldnt touch an aftermarket kit. They couldnt put their Guarantee on their work, so I got a cash settlement and did the repair work myself. They did give me the name of a repairer not aligned with my insurer who would do the job for the quote given, but I did it all myself and saved half the money and spent it on other work the car needed.
Now I'm hoping something like that happens to me haha. I could do with that money to pay for my excess :/
The place that's going to repair my car also has a lifetime warranty on their work I think so could happen. Do you think it is possible to get the money for the headlights as well and I can replace them with Altezzas?
