Default Fuel issue with my vx

Hi all i recently lent my car to a so called mate. once we got it back we noticed that it was running like shit and had to replace a couple of spark plug leads. done that and then as the missus started driving it around she was complaining about it chewing fuel. I have noticed that on a 20(ish) km round trip it will chew a 1/4 of a tank with ease. going to check all the spark plugs change air filter and clean the afm is there anything else i should be doing like cleaning oxy sensors or doing a ecu reset

    cheers joel

Perhaps someone has put shitty 91oct in the tank.

Add checking for vacuum leaks to your list. Guaranteed it was taken for a mang'in so it could've blown a hose off.

I think with lack of air it throws in more fuel? or is it the other way around.. Which dash has yours got? run the maths on the fuel usage in terms of L per 100

Run your normal fuel. Reset the ecu. Never lend it out to that "mate" again. Go from there.

If you run a car on 98 for a few tanks and then switch back to 91 you will notice a difference.
