Hey guys,
I bought a rear garnish from a VX a couple of weeks back in white, which I thought was perfect cause it was the first white one I could find in ages (my VT is white and didn't want to go to the hassle of painting it etc).
But now that im getting around to installing it, I didn't think it through and just jumped at the opportunity to buy a white garnish.
Because im worried that between the VX and VT the paint code would be slightly different?
Can anyone lend us a hand?
I've had a look at the paint codes thread and couldn't really find what I was looking for.
If it happens to be a slightly different paint code, could I still install it without it being an obvious difference?
Cheers guys!
It will be abit brighter it wouldent be hard to paint anyways.
VT heron white is JO73
jo73 is on both vt and vx. just hope that the donor car was the same code, even if its in better condition it wont be that noticeable, theres a black seal between the boot lid and garnish which helps break it up. just out of curiosity how much was the garnish? i paid 150 up here
Yeah my colour code is J073, so just hoping the VX garnish is the same!
It looked a little lighter when I held it up to my car but it was dirty at the time so pretty pointless haha.
Only paid $100 for it mate, bargain I thought!
Especially when it was in the colour I needed (or so I hope)
they are the same paint code of both j073, i brought a white VX garnish for my VT and it matched fine.

believe it or not Heron white has 5 different variants used for trims bumpers and handles
do figure that's why bumpers look different and it's on purpose![]()
