    Default Is this VT - VX power mod rubbish?

    I was looking on ebay and came across this power mod, very cheap which makes me wonder if it does anything at all, would love to know if any of you guys or gals have installed one.

    Search for the thread on eBay power chips. Biggest waste of time and money.

    They fool the ECU into thinking that the intake air temp is cold, therefore giving it more fuel and ignition timing. I've used one before and they do make a marginal difference but don't expect to pick up a shitload of KW. Exhaust does smell rich at idle too.

    A slightly leaner mix will make more power not richer
    factory tune is set richer as it is safer for motor
    near as i can see you will use more fuel and make less power

    End of the day it's under $20. Try it, if you don't like it, throw it in the bin.

    This Has been covered many times mate. as mentioned - fool the ECU into thinking that the intake air temp is cold, therefore giving it more fuel and ignition timing.

    And will cause very poor fuel eco and more problems else where such as a blocked cat. You want power its something you cant cheat it lol

    lol buy some high ratio roller rockers if you want a quick mod to increase power.
    VX2 Executive Sedan - 3.8L Auto (for now)
    VT SS Sedan - Supercharged V6 Auto (Genuine L67 SS)
    VN SS Sedan - 5.0L 5 Speed Manual (Currently Balga spec waiting for panel and paint)
