2002 vx speedo computer faulty??

my speedo computer has only a few "modes" like odometer kms til empty and speeding buzzer and blah blah
what i want to know is y does it not how many litres im using per 100kms like older model commodores i have been in??
that would b a really handy mode... any ideas please?? maybe an easy reset or something??

Have you got the Single Digital Display or the Triple Window Digital Display?

I am pretty sure that you only get the extra readouts with the Triple Window Display.

Yeah and also the triple window displays only came out it the higher luxury models (Berlina, Calais, Statesman, Caprice, etc).

You can always install one,if you have a "HIGH" BCM.Thats what i did.At the time i had a SRS light on due to faulty belt tensioner,since then got it fixed.Works a treat. Specially on long trips.

u will need 2 use the "hidden trip menu" 2 get the readings ur after my VT exec has it. just means wen u wanna check it u have 2 press the mode and up buttons together wen u start the car.

I tookout my L1 dash and replaced with the 3window, since then been enjoying the benefits of the Inst fuel readout and AVG per 100, its amazing how economical you can drive KNOWING what your accelerator position is doing to fuel intake. trip to melbourne from north east vic i got down to a 7.2l/100 avg.
