Default vt feels like its going sideways ...in a straight line

    hey everyone

as stated above my vt series one feels like it goes sideways under hard acceleration like 0-60 feels like i need to counter steer .

im thinking its some type of bush in the back but not sure where to start anyone with a big boot to kick me in the right direction

also car has 185xxx ks and is lowered enough to tuck some tyre on 235/45/17 if it helps ?

I would almost go so far to say cracked rear cradle if it's that bad. Have you had a camber kit installed? Are the springs cut?

Cracked rear cradle was my first thought aswell.. Then seen 2 other people thought the same thing.

Or maybe under hard acceleration your wheels are spinning ahaha =P

The rear cradle is what holds the diff, axles, brakes, wheels, shocks, springs to the chassis.
It's a few hundred labour to get it changed.
If you get another cradle buy one from a VXII-VZ sedan. They have toe links which improve handling and reduce tyre scrub.
Get a camber kit installed before it goes in as well. Save some money on labour later

reverse your car a couple of meters, get out and check rear camber, if there's a noticeable difference between each side, then its prob cracked cradle.

From VT series 1 all the way to VZ, the cradles are retrofit-able to VT's.
The toe links only come on cradles from VXII onwards. VXII, VY, VYII, VZ

I got a vz cradle for $100 bucks.

Its a days work with 2 blokes.
I refer to my earlier post:
The rear cradle is what holds the diff, axles, brakes, wheels, shocks, springs to the chassis.
All that has to be removed. Then take out the cradle (which has the 2 bolts with the highest torque rating of the whole car and will need to be replaced).
Insert new cradle. Bolt it up. Bolt on all those bits again. Bleed the brakes and your done. Not for the faint hearted this task.

Edit: if your searching ebay. also try "subframe" as its technically called the "rear subframe"
